A Word From Julius

One of the most powerful promises in the Bible is found in John 8:12, where the Lord Jesus declares “I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” In the specific context, He is alluding to His power to dispel the darkness of religious and moral depravity prevalent wherever humankind is found.

Around the world, and especially in the developing world, there are many orphans and widows groping in the darkness of despair, for which Christ's light is the only hope. Yet another group is confronted with the darkness of discouragement. Indeed, by some accounts, many pastors leave the ministry every year, some questioning their calling while others battle fatigue and lack of resources for study and reference.

We believe that God is calling and commissioning Hope Outreach International Ministries, Inc. (HOIM) to bring His hope-filled light to the aforementioned groups by evangelizing the unsaved; empowering orphans, widows and the needy; and equipping gospel ministers in the developing world through seminars and much-needed resources. We are encouraged in this pursuit by what God has allowed us to do during 2 missions trips (in 2005 and 2006) to Cameroon, West Africa.

Our Upcoming Trip

As we look to the future, the assurance of His presence fills our hearts with hope for a fruitful time of service to Him. In the short term, we are prayerfully preparing for the launching of HOIM on Saturday, March 10, 2007, and a third mission to Cameroon in August 2007. As the Lord allows, our long term plans include the construction of a Retreat and Resource Center in Cameroon, similar missions endeavors, sustained support for 3 orphanages run by our partners, and sponsorship for people who need vocational and ministerial training. Although Cameroon serves as our launching base, we trust the Lord for His grace to take His light into other nations in the developing world.

Prayer and Partnership

As with our past and present endeavors, our future exertions in the Lord's vineyard cannot be carried out without the active involvement of brethren like you. Our greatest need is in the area of prayer for wisdom and discernment to ensure that we take His light when, how and where He wills. Our desire is to bring books and study materials (tapes, CDs etc) to the pastors and church leaders wherever we go, in addition to funds to support the vocational training of orphans and widows. We invite you to seek the Lord regarding a possible partnership with HOIM. We will count it a real honor to see you at our launching on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 4:00 pm at The Chapel on the Campus, 3355 Dalrymple Drive, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
